Here is a cute registry hack which obsessive compulsive readers may enjoy (who isn't a little
obsessive compulsive when it comes to IDEs).
To clear the projects list from Visual Studio you need to hack the registry.
There is probably some UI feature to do this - but finding features in Visual
Studio is akin to finding the proverbial needle in the haystack.

The projects list can be found here in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\ProjectMRUList
