I got a little trouble today for being 'too Australian' at a recent meeting. I can't discuss what the meeting was about - but it was hardly a controversial topic. This kind of 'offensive' is very common in Redmond for Australians. Our direct business style doesn't mix well with the passive aggressive style common to Pacific North West men (women here are far more professional aren't so gutless). My intial reaction upon hearing the feedback was to go tell the guy to go 'f' himself - but after a nanonsecond I realized it was simply his lack of diversity (ie. anyone who asked a direct question scares them).
