The Microsoft CRM LinkedIn Group helps connect CRM professions in the broader Microsoft community. The group is open anyone with Microsoft CRM in their public profile. Recruiters and 'people who want to join lots of groups' are not welcome. Please read the following FAQ before requesting membership.
What is a LinkedIn Group? See the Official LinkedIn FAQ.
How can I join? Click here and login with your LinkedIn account?
Who can join? Membership to most LinkedIn Groups is restricted. A group manager must approve your membership request. We typically approve all people who are a) Microsoft employees b) Microsoft Alumni or c) People with Microsoft CRM in their LinkedIn Profile.
What can I do with the group once I am a member? You can see the public profiles of all the members. You may then send them invitations using the normal LinkedIn process.
How long does it take to be approved? A few days. The managers of the group all have day jobs. What's the rush?
What kind of people do you typically reject? Recruiters and people with no mention of Microsoft CRM in their public profile.
Can I complain if my membership was rejected? No. LinkedIn also does not allow you re-apply. We are very open in our membership profile - so it is pretty easy to be accepted. Think carefully: did your public profile mention CRM? If not - it is your own fault. If you didn't read this FAQ - then it is still your fault. Sorry. Better luck next time.
Can I email one of the managers to speed up my approval? No. We will just delete your email. We are serious - don't bother us.
Is this an official Microsoft thing? No it is not. The founder of the group (Philip Richardson) does work for Microsoft - but this is not an official Microsoft activity. This group is for the overall good of the CRM community.
